Case Study: The 5-Question Process

One of our clients came to us with an interesting challenge: to create a logo for a collaboration of individuals agencies that had committed to working together for a common cause.

Through the 5-Question Process, it became clear that the major obstacle to creating a collaborative environment was the divergent focus of the two types of organizations working on the project. Some came from a sexual violence paradigm; others from domestic violence mindset.

While there were of course commonalities and similarities, we need to graphically demonstrate an understanding of the two difference perspectives, while merging them into one cohesive new identify.

The solution was a logo that incorporate the colors normally associated with each movement (teal for sexual violence; purple for domestic violence), growing together into something entirely new.

Without the 5-Questions Process, it is unlikely that the project would have such a strong branding element that appeals to all the collaborating partners. From here, the overall message of any copywriting and marketing easily flows from this integrated message.
